Steamy, Sinful, Scandalous Series

Steamy, Sinful, Scandalous series is the stories of some women living life on the edge. It is not by choice, it is an option, Though not the only option but they have a reason to take up this option. They are doting wives, diligent mothers and darling daughters. Meat them, read about them, know them and if you judge them, they don’t care.

The Pain in the… Knee (Book 1)

Monali Datta is a smart business woman, a doting wife and mother. Her life was no less than a fairy tale with Akash ,her husband, her prince charming. Then what was it that made her tread an uncharted territory? Meet Monali Datta and read her story. It is steamy, it’s sinful, it’s scandalous.

REVIEW

𝐐𝐎𝐓𝐃: Can Adultery be justified?
.
Monali Datta had a life straight from the fairy tale. But every fairy tale has it’s share lows, so does hers. She never wanted to take a path less travelled but she does. What are her reasons? Are these reasons good enough? Does this break her marriage?
Read and find out.
.
I simply fell in love with the story right from the first page, it was fast paced and engaging. The author has picked up a very sensitive issue that can happen in anyone’s life. Trust me, the author has handled it really well. By the time I finished the book I fell in love with the protagonist , Monali Datta. Any one in her shoes probably would have done the same.
The book has few characters and each one of them develops well. I enjoyed the comical side of Devika too( who is going to be the protagonist of the second book of the series). The steamy sequence are handled so well that I didn’t feel awkward at all reading them.
.
Another interesting thing about the book is THE FLIP SIDE chapter in which the story is written from other character’s point of view( I won’t mention who this character is). It was very interesting to read the other side of the story… the flip side.
.
The narration, language, cover, all are just too good. The language used is colloquial, so grammar nazis may have to take it with a pinch of salt.
But USP of the book is certainly the strong, engaging plot.
.
The book throws light on a problem that can arise in any marriage but people choose not to talk about it and is considered taboo.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Highly recommended. My best read of the year so far.

Some parts of the book may be suitable only for adults keeping in view the sensitivity of the issue.
