☕️☕️Express over Espresso sounds more like a casual chit chat over a cup of coffee. The thoughts shared by author are simple and are weaved around our day to day life, thoughts and activities.
☕️☕️Each of 24 chapter has an interesting title and equally riveting thought. The thoughts seem very simple but they carry a deep meaning and provide a food for thought. The examples that author has backed these thoughts with are equally interesting. I liked the chapter ‘Foreign Feels Familiar’. Here author took example of OTT platforms that how they brought the world closer. It is easy to form your own opinions by knowing the culture of a place better rather than depending upon what media shows. Author quoted the web series Fauda and shared her experience that how it helped her to get an insight into Palestine problem . I felt the same when I had watched that series.
☕️☕️Various quotes and poetry from different languages add to the beauty of this book. I particularly liked the Desi touch given to the content.
The thoughts flow freely. Simplicity of language and familiarity to the day to day life is the USP of the book.
☕️☕️ You may put the book in self help category but for me it was like Chai pe Charcha (A heart to heart conversation over coffee).
