DESCRIPTION

Is there any dead end on life’s highway? A moment where everything seems to pause forever. A place where life turns into a suffocating black hole making everything meaningless? Is there? Or is the dead end just an extremely real illusion? An illusion asking you to look close inside yourself and find the light that will lead you through.’ A tragic accident leaves Sharan on the crossroads of life from where darkness is all he can see. Unsure of his direction, Sharan sets on an undecided, unknown journey — partly to heal his pain, partly to run away from it. It is on this journey that he encounters his ‘Panch- mahabhuta’, his five teachers who change his life forever. Five ordinary people with extraordinary stories. Set in the beautiful landscape of Himanchal ‘Sunrise Beyond the Dead End’ is a story that will leave its readers introspecting their own lives and valuing its simple joys.

REVIEW

Sharan, an investment banker, was a high headed man. For him time was money and he never cared much about spending time with family let alone the people working for him. His life takes a sudden turn when he is hit by a personal tragedy. He realises the importance of family but it was too late. He starts to lose interest in life and spends lot of time on the ghats of Haridwar. He takes on a journey to Shimla. In this new way of life, he meets many people who has their own stories that were not pleasant and that changes his perspective towards life and people around him.

The plot of the story is multilayered and intriguing. Author has impeccably crafted the character of Sharan and developed it beautifully. The plot is the strength of this tale. Cover and title were good. A little work could be done on editing part but the crisp plot covers that all. The book offers some great lessons too.

Overall the book has a gripping story that even beginners can enjoy without much difficulty.
